Our Story
A quick timeline
1987
1995
We met when Brandon was in second grade and Lara was in kindergarten.
2000
Lara’s family moved to another state.
2005
The age of myspace arrived. We met again and started messaging online.
We messaged each other ALOT!
2006
We officially started dating.
2009
Brandon proposed. He decorated a large cookie cake with “Will you marry me?” written in icing. He was so nervous that after Lara said “YES!”, he immediately started eating the cookie before any photo evidence could be obtained.
We soon after bought our first house together.
We then promptly adopted the best boy in all the land, SIMON!
1989
Lara made her arrival.
2010
“A wedding, I love weddings! Drinks all around!”
2012
Brandon arrived into the world.
We welcomed our sweet baby girl Noel Scarlett into the world.
2014
We welcomed our red haired firecracker Jack Flanagan to our family.
2017
Lara wrote Carl the Kindly Kraken.
Brandon got really excited about it and started on the illustrations straight away!
We also added a new furry friend Luna to the family.
2020
We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.
2023
One of our least favorite years.
Our best bud Simon passed at nearly
14 years old. We miss him every day.
2024
Brandon FINALLY got the illustrations for Carl done!
Carl the Kindly Kraken officially releases.
2025
We have been together for nearly 20 years and have built an amazing life together. Here’s to many more amazing years ahead!
